Monthly Newsletter September 2025
I hope everyone managed to surface without snoozing their alarm on Monday morning as the clocks went forward 1 hour, the long BBQ evenings are upon us - how good!
Into the 10th month of the year, Concept has had an awesome September with lots of exciting progress onsite and team members doing great things in their own, respective lives like introducing babies into the world! We love seeing our team doing amazing things and support in every way we can.
Please enjoy a brief overview of Concept Antics over the past few weeks.
Chatswood Grove, Chatswood
Liam and the boys at Chatswood Grove have been making great in-roads, fueled by our lovely client’s sweet treats at smoko. We have completed laying the 140mm Kwila hardwood decking on the main platform, with the jawdropping view of the sky tower and Auckland CBD. The stairs have also been framed and laid, one of the more interquite parts of the job - measure twice cut once applies when setting out stairs such as these. The lads are now into the decorative 90x45 Kwila balustrade, the fixing details require 2 large 14 gauge screws per balustrade and there is approximately 250 balusters to be installed - quite a time-consuming task.
We recently purchased our own small set of scaffolding, therefore we can be more time efficient and price competitive - another great reason to chose Concept for your next project.
Success Court, Omaha
Jack and the team up in the Winterless North have been making amazing progress over the past month; there were some challenges to overcome with the timber foundations being so close to not only the house but also the existing underground water tank. We proactively recognised that ramming all the piles may cause the existing underground water tank to be compromised, therefore we used an alternate concreted, timber pile which alleviated most of the risk. All piles are now installed and the existing water tank is safe and sound.
The team have now replaced all the existing single-glazed joinery units with new double-glazed units and we are commencing the cladding reinstatement.
Watene Place, Mount Wellington
Aaron and George have done a great little job beautifying a pergola for one of our lovely architect friends. The existing structure was after a bit more flare for the long summer evening entertaining, Sophie knew what she was after and we used 70x19 Vitex screwed to the underside. This will provide some shade and privacy to this great outdoor area. Remember, we can assist with projects of all shapes and sizes - if you want to add some flare to your outdoor entertaining area for summer, get in touch!
Upcoming Projects
We have recently been working on some very exciting projects for the coming months. We believe our process around pricing is fair and superior to our competitors. We have taken the approach that more information is better than less when submitting a price to a customer or business that may be making one of the biggest investments of their lives - don’t you agree!! If you or someone you know has a larger project in mind and wants some quality, professional pricing documentation, get in touch with the market leaders at Concept!
Closing words
We will be heading out on the water this Friday for our annual fishing trip, fair to say their is some excitement in the air!
On that note, worth re-iterating the importance of enjoyment at work, if your work doesn’t yet have a social club, maybe that’s something you could implement or discuss with the management team.
Wishing you all a great month of October! HM
