Monthly Newsletter November 2024

Get the milk and biscuits out it is that time of year again.

Excited to be in the last month of this turbulent year, It has been an action packed few weeks since we last spoke.

The team have been doing amazing things trying to accommodate the Christmas rush that has been laid upon us and many instances.

Adrian‘s OCR announcement last week was another highlight of the November month with a 0.5 decrease in rates, hopefully 2025 is an absolute ripper for everyone.

Pamela Place, Saint Heliers

We are very familiar with, having completed a renovation to number 15 Pamela a few years ago we are now on-site at number 14 converting a carport into a new gym office for some amazing customers.

The team have done a great job of removing the existing concrete driveway slab, temporarily supporting the existing second-level deck structure, preparing the new concrete slab for concrete pour this Wednesday.

This cost-effective conversion will be a great practical space with a bullet-proof concrete floor the kids will have a ball.

Success Court, Omaha

Another month has passed in the winterless north - Jack and his team have been doing great things.

Over the past month we have been continuing with the exterior cladding and joinery installation now 90% complete with only the finishing touches remaining. This beautiful western red Cedar never seems to disappoint, precoated from the factory it is very user-friendly for us on site.

The Christmas deadline has been laid upon us via our great customers to get the place functional for Christmas and we are doing our very best to make it happen.

It is a tight schedule but over the next three weeks, we aim to have the bathrooms temporarily functional for the Christmas break and the house with the tight so that the sunny summer days can be enjoyed.

Konini Road, Titirangi

The team have been doing amazing job transforming an old house in the beautiful bush of Titirangi, West Auckland.

We have removed the existing pine decking that was hazardous in some places with severe rot and snapped boards.

After ref the existing deck framing and installing some new H3.2 treated timber in areas we are now installing some beautiful Vitex hardwood supplied by South Pacific timber. South Pacific timber leading the way and quality timber supply and we really noticed the difference on the Building site.

Raymond Street, Point Chevalier

We have had the pleasure recently of working closely with some great customers on our Raymond Street project. Having purchased the house in 2020, our customers were keen to modernise the house cost-effectively, and working closely together, we came up with some great solutions. This includes a new aluminium front floor with a digital lock, a new decorative screen in the stairwell using American Ash timber (the undiscovered sister of American Oak), a new Vitex hardwood deck and balustrade, full internal and external paint, plus some other cool refurbishments to areas. Wow - what a difference it has made!

Closing words

As we enter the 12th month of 2024, the festive season, the business end - myself and the team at Concept wish you all an enjoyable month ahead fulled with Christmas function and laughter.  We are looking forward to our own Christmas function next Friday, spraying around some paintballs in West Auckland.

Stay positive and keep testing negative,

HM
