Monthly Newsletter July 2024

Another amazing month has passed at Concept and it is time to update our wonderful network of brilliant people with some of our exciting activities over the last few weeks. We hope you all have been keeping yourself dry and warm as we approach the mid-way point of the winter season, bring on 23rd September when we enter Spring and the fish start to bite!  In the last month, we have seen positive economic signs with the major banks decreasing rates by around 0.20% across the board, let's hope this trend continues.

  We have also heard in the media, that the cost of construction is down for the first time in 10 years, I can confirm first hand - this is true! Why not take advantage?

Culture is key

Over the past 4 weeks, the Concept Social Club has been extremely busy! As a lot of you will now know, the leadership team at Concept believe culture is one of the most important parts of successful environments. We decided the Euro final would be a good opportunity to get together as a team early one foggy Monday morning. Sadly England lost to Spain but what a match!

We also supported one of our amazing apprentices Jack George with his wimpto-warrior CKB fight event, Jack did a superb job being the main event of the evening, a real nail-biter of a battle. Well done Jack! 

Hazel Avenue, Mount Roskill

Back in April, we shared some photos of this project which was 95% complete. Since then, our good friends at Box Crib have assisted us with capturing some quality pictures of this awesome finished project. Our clients have been amazing throughout and an absolute pleasure to work with, Maureen was very understanding of any hurdles we encountered, when you are dealing with a 70- year-old house there is usually a couple.

Alfred Street, Onehunga

Our clients here were also amazing, Nina knew exactly what she was after, and together we designed the bathroom to incorporate a feature shelf on one wall, which serves as functional storage in the shower for your soap and shampoo. One area that Concept can assist you is with un-consented bathrooms, we have a wide range of experience with bathrooms of all shapes and sizes, and we know from experience what works well and what can be problematic. 

Chatswood Groove, Chatswood

We recently got underway with an awesome large deck renovation in the thriving suburb of Chatswood. You can see below the existing deck and get a glimpse of what we are going to create. The team have completed drilling the 15 pile holes using our amazing 1.7T Yanmar excavator, some holes 2.1m deep! The deck will form an amazing platform for what is a truly spectacular view over the harbour incorporating the sky tower and CBD. We can't wait to share the progress of this one wit you guys. 

Closing words

Well, that's it for another month. I hope you enjoyed my light read summarising the previous few weeks. Over the next 4 weeks, we will be busy on-site creating more amazing spaces, we don't have much on the social calendar until early October when our annual fishing trip is happening.
