Welcome to the June edition of the Concept newsletter. The last few weeks have been full of awesome projects, assisting our wonderful clients to transform spaces.
In other news we have seen the six o'clock news headline "THE RECESSION IS OVER" with a 0.2 GDP growth in the first quarter. Is this really the case? Depends who you ask, I think there is still a lot of pain out there across all industries, however a positive step in the right direction.
I hope you enjoy this light read, overviewing some of the cool work the team and I have been doing over the last month.
One Tree Hill College
We are very excited and honoured to be assisting One Tree Hill College with their great initiative to help their young Tamariki get into trades after school. We have spoken to their year 13 students a few times over the past few years to give them some insite into what life after school in the trades can look like.
More recently we have been assisting with transforming an old state house into a high performing modern day warm and dry home. One Tree Hill is leading the way in assisting the youth into the trades where so many high schools are not, we are 100% behind One Tree Hill and their awesome efforts. Watch this space to see the transformation!
Aitken Terrace, Eden Terrace
We are 95% complete on an awesome little office renovation for our lovely clients at SPUR NZ. They were after another meeting room in their office to suit their current requirements better. SPUR knew what they were after and gave us a very detailed brief. We then engaged with our awesome reputable contractors to make it happen. New decorative grooved lining to add some flare, simple but effective floor-to-ceiling glass with pivot door, Autex Panels to assist the acoustics the finished product looks great!
Maintenance assistance
We have recently been assisting homeowners and commercial property owners with maintaining their assets, a good opportunity to remind everyone that although it is not our speciality we can assist with replacing spouting or fixing a leak. Why not take advantage of some market-leading builders to assist you with fixing whatever maintenance issues you may have!
Springfield Road, Morningside
We recently commenced an awesome internal renovation in Morningside involving the refurbishment of 2 existing bathrooms which is become somewhat of a speciality. After this project, we will have completed 10 bathrooms so far this year! This job had building consent-approved plans and also involves some internal wall reconfiguration. It was requested to do the work in 2 stages meaning there will always be one bathroom functional, we have managed to achieve this sticking to the original budget which is great for our customers. We are almost complete on stage 1, with our great tilers currently in there doing their amazing work.
Closing words
Recently I have been assisting homeowners looking to renovate with preliminary budgets to assist their decision making, this usually happens before investing in the building consent stage of planning.
