Monthly Newsletter September 2025

And that’s a wrap on another month in the bag! Welcome along to the Monthly Concept Newsletter, where we take a moment to celebrate the wins, milestones, and progress we’ve made throughout September.

One of the standout highlights this month was the Apprentice of the Year Awards, where our very own JP Foley made the Top 10 in Auckland — an incredible achievement! It was inspiring to see some of the next generation of talent putting themselves out there and testing their skills against other bright superstars of the future.

Across the Auckland region, our teams have been making great strides on multiple projects, pushing forward with energy and excellence. We can’t wait to share some of those stories with you — so grab a coffee, take five minutes, and enjoy the read.

Ponga Road, Drury

Project Manager Cam, Site Foreman Ethan, and the team have made excellent progress out on the spacious Drury site. With plenty of room available to store timber and materials, the workflow has been smooth and efficient. Over the past month, the crew has successfully completed the earthworks using our own machinery, demonstrating great coordination and capability. The concrete slabs have been poured, the timber piles are in place, and the plywood flooring is now nearing completion. After six weeks of steady work, the project remains perfectly on budget and on schedule — a testament to the team’s planning and execution.

Weona Place, Westmere

Our Project Manager John, Site Foreman Campbell, and George have made excellent progress in Westmere with the help of some seriously heavy machinery. In early September, the 14-tonne digger arrived on site, and within just a few days the existing house was completely demolished and removed. Since then, the team has completed the site cut, cleared the area as required, and poured the first batch of concrete for 18 three-metre-deep piles in the lower basement garage. It’s very exciting to see this impressive project officially underway. With the site office and container now set up, the team is well-positioned to maximise efficiency and ensure our high standards of organisation and communication are maintained throughout the build.

First View Avenue, Beachlands

The team out in the winterless East Auckland has made fantastic progress on this exciting new build project. Over the past few weeks, they’ve stood the timber frames and installed substantial structural steel with the assistance of a high-end crane. Despite working around a few rainstorms, the crew is now focused on constructing the mezzanine mid-floor. The goal is to have the windows installed, the eco-ply rigid air barrier in place, and the roof completed by Christmas. Once finished, the home will feature a striking combination of brick and timber cladding, creating an impressive final look. In just a month’s time, the structure will already appear significantly more developed, showcasing the team’s continued hard work and precision.

Closing words

That’s a wrap for the September edition of the Concept Newsletter! I hope everyone is enjoying the longer evenings as we head into the warmer months of the year. If your backyard is ready for a refresh, you know who to call. Wishing you all a fantastic October ahead and a well-deserved, enjoyable Labour Weekend.

Stay positive and keep testing negative,
HM
