Monthly Newsletter April 2025
Autumn’s here — and while the leaves are falling, our site productivity is climbing (unlike that apprentice who still can’t find the ladder). April was packed with big concrete pours, beautiful weather (sometimes), and the occasional coffee-fueled toolbox talk. Thanks to everyone for keeping the good vibes and great craftsmanship flowing.
Let’s dig into the latest dust-covered news...
Innisfree Drive, Ellerslie
It’s all action at 23 Innisfree, with Pele and the team making huge progress on site. All the wall framing is now complete, standing tall and true thanks to some serious precision and teamwork. As of this week, we’re 80% through the roof framing — and it’s looking sharp.
The boys have been working hard, navigating a mix of crisp mornings and the odd classic Auckland downpour, but spirits are high and the site is humming. The structure is really starting to reveal its form, and you can feel the excitement building as we edge closer to the roof shout.
Stay tuned for more progress as we move into the next phase – and if you hear cheering from the neighbourhood soon, it’s probably just our roof shout kicking off.
Pamela Plaace, Saint Heliers
We recently wrapped up a fun little project at 14 Pamela Place — transforming a standard carport into a fully enclosed home gymnasium for an awesome family with some seriously energetic young kids.
The brief was clear: more space, more function, less chaos inside the house! And that’s exactly what we delivered. The new gym space is bright, practical, and ready for everything from indoor scooters to mini ninja courses (or maybe just a quiet yoga session… once the kids are asleep)
Know someone with a carport or garage collecting dust? They could be one build away from their dream gym, studio, or extra hangout space. Get in touch — we’d love to help.
Owens Road, Epsom
Jack, James, and the crew have been powering through at Owens Road over the past few weeks. The site set-out and excavation are complete, and last week saw the team pour a flawless concrete slab — always a satisfying milestone!
Since then, they’ve been charging ahead, with the ground floor framing and structural steel now 80% complete. It’s been a massive effort from everyone involved, and the momentum on site is strong.
We’re excited to see this project rise quickly from here — great work team!
Elliot Avenue, Bay View
James, Aaron, and Liam have been doing some incredible work at this inspiring community project in Elliott Avenue. We’ve teamed up with The Men’s Shed — a grassroots organisation powered by trade-savvy legends who volunteer their skills to create items for the next generation.
The Men’s Shed crew focuses on state-owned primary schools and similar initiatives, building everything from small playgrounds to hand-crafted furniture that benefits local kids and families. It’s a humble operation with a big heart, and we’re proud to lend a hand.
Concept Carpenters contributed through our community not-for-profit pricing model, ensuring as much value as possible goes directly back into the community — where it’s needed most.
It’s always rewarding to give back, especially alongside such a passionate team of volunteers making a real difference.
Know a not-for-profit or community group in need of a hand? We’re always open to supporting meaningful causes. Get in touch — we’d love to see how we can help.
Closing words
That’s a wrap for this month — thanks for following along with the action. Whether we’re framing walls, supporting the community, or flipping carports into gyms, we’re proud to build with purpose
Stay positive and keep testing negative,
